Website redesign for Potenciar Solidario Foundation

Since 2012, Potenciar Solidario Foundation has been empowering the sustainable growth of non profit organizations across Argentina. They provide free support in key areas, including communications, management, administration, volunteer coordination, and fundraising. Currently, over 500 non profits actively participate in their programs.

After collaborating on their monthly communications for five years, we embraced a new and ambitious challenge: the complete redesign of their website. This wasn't merely an aesthetic update, but a profound restructuring focused on improving user experience and utility. The previous site was not only unintuitive, but its design failed to reflect the professionalism and stability of Potenciar Solidario Foundation. We addressed this directly, managing to reduce the number of destination pages from 41 down to 20. This not only made information easily accessible but also allowed us to better showcase the foundation's true impact. Furthermore, this effort significantly reduced server response time and page load speed, enhancing the visitor's first impression.

This project was a testament to true teamwork, bringing together the experience and knowledge of three key Eremo areas: graphic designers, project managers, and our specialized web development team.

New structure proposal:

To begin the process, we conducted a deep analysis of the existing website and defined the site's strategic goals with Potenciar Solidario Foundation team. Based on this foundation, we developed a detailed sitemap proposal, outlining the new page structures, essential content, and user pathways.

To improve User Experience (UX) and the overall design, we implemented the following improvements:

  • Navigation and content clarity: We reorganized the content in a more user-friendly way, grouping information and creating submenus where the website previously had too much content. We aimed to describe the organization's actions and purpose more precisely.
  • High-impact visual content: We added some high quality images that better represent the actions of the Foundation.

  • Consistent typography and readability: We worked on headings (H1, H2, H3), using the existing typography more consistently throughout the site. We also ensured uniformity in graphic resources and the color palette.
  • Optimized responsive design: We fine-tuned several details to ensure the site offered an excellent visual and functional view for the user across all devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).

Furthermore, the redesign included exhaustive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to significantly boost the site's organic visibility.

Website redesign

Once the sitemap was approved and defined, we moved on to the design, fully integrating the Foundation's visual identity. The navigation and design were then validated through a prototype, ensuring every detail met the defined goals.

Finally, we moved on to the implementation. We utilized WordPress combined with the Divi visual builder, which allowed for flexible and agile development. To ensure security and performance, we implemented advanced solutions, hosted the site on an optimized hosting environment, and carried out the complete website development.

The results speak for themselves. In the four years preceding the redesign, the website averaged 6,304 unique users and 22,664 page views.

Since the launch of the new site, we have seen a remarkable increase:

  • 12,557 unique visitors
  • 45,243 page views in 2024.

This represents an increase of nearly 99% in unique users and 99.6% in page views, demonstrating the success of our strategic restructuring and optimization.
